An English orange wine that is aromatic and robust. That alone should be enough to get this in your basket, but anyway...
Golden, ripe Solaris grapes were destemmed and allowed to ferment on the skins in an 800 litre amphora for 90 days. The grape skins were then pressed, and the press wine added back to the free run before resting in a stainless steel vat for a further 10 months.
Bottled via gravity, unfiltered, unfined, No added sulphites.
The grapes for this wine were grown by Kathy Archer at her vineyard just outside of Ottery Saint Mary in Devon. Kathy is an Organic grower (uncertified) and eschews the use of pesticides and herbicides entirely, relying on hard work and spending time amongst the vines to produce grapes of extraordinary quality.
