The only Cornwall-based producer on our list – these plucky hop-forward beers have a real cult-following throughout the country – making some of their special releases the most sought-after and hard-to-find out there.
Undoubtedly inspired by the East-Coast US style of beer (think super juicy, hazy, tropical goodness), they also make sure their beers are for everyone – with the whole range being vegan-friendly.
From their humble beginnings in a small Falmouth brewery in 2014, the team have since opened their own seafood and tapas bar (featuring 8 taps of their own range) following a round of crowdfunding. They have also since opened their own taproom in an East London railway arch in Hackney – called ‘The Experiment’ – which they share with fellow producer Pressure Drop.
For now, though, their relatively small size is also one of their main charms: They are proud of where they send their beers, and make sure they’re only seen in the best spots. Visitors to the taproom of their online shop are even limited to how many cans they can buy direct from them – to ensure everyone gets a piece of the action.
Case in point is the yearly release of their 8% ‘Putty’ DIPA in January – being one of the most eagerly-anticipated releases of the UK beer world, and is a great example of what these guys do so well: Thick, hazy, orange and mango aromas, dank hops and earthy pine-notes.
With plans to expand their brewery set-up and taproom further this year, these guys are fast-becoming one of the stellar names on the craft UK beer scene - and we’re chuffed to be bringing these beers from the sunny shores of the South-West all the way to your door.
